The shape of this ceramic cup with a handle connects the past and present: while this tableware may look slightly nostalgic, it is also very innovative. This dark brown, almost black goblet is part of Marie Michielssen’s La Mère collection. La Mère, the first ceramic tableware line of Marie Michielssen, is a loving ode to the (grand-)mother figure and women in general. The tableware looks slightly nostalgic but is, in many ways, innovative because of its vertical structure. Each shape is unique and hand-moulded.
